FUNERALS

The celebration of a life

Many people nowadays live without religious beliefs and this will be reflected in the ceremony you want for a loved one or for yourself. Your ceremony will not exclude people with religious commitment and although there are no hymns or prayers, a time for reflection or silent prayer will be included. Members of the family and friends will be encouraged to contribute to your ceremony by writing and reading tributes or poems unless they would prefer me to read them on their behalf.

Your funeral will probably take place in crematorium, or green/woodland burial site. Ceremonies can also be held in village halls, social clubs, pubs etc. before a burial or cremation. You may want a ceremony to scatter or bury the ashes or a memorial ceremony at a later date.

You can decide on your own music to enter, to exit and to be played at the reflection time or I can make suitable suggestions. You may want to include favourite poems and readings. You may have other ideas of how you would like to celebrate the life of your loved one. Let me know.

After the ceremony you will receive a presentation copy of the script as a memorial.

"I just wanted to say thank you again for a wonderful ceremony. I thought the script was perfect and focused very much on the positive memories - I certainly feel a lot better after today, as do others."

"Victoria came across as a most warm and sympathetic person. One almost felt that she knew my husband personally. I had the most wonderful comments from family and friends, that she was the perfect person to officiate."

"No words can say how well Victoria conducted the ceremony. It was like a friend talking about our daughter, not a stranger."
